Our mission is to share artist-explorer Tony Foster’s powerful exhibitions of watercolor Journeys to inspire reflection, discussion, and education about art, wilderness, and the natural world. The Foster offers a variety of options and activities for schools and teachers, including field trips, customized experiences, and teacher professional learning workshops.

During this field trip for our youngest visitors, students are immersed in one of Tony Foster’s journeys as they become animals in search of food, water, and shelter within one of the depicted habitats. Each visit includes story time and a hands-on art project through which students can share their wilderness adventures.
All Field Trip Adventures include a facilitated program, gallery exploration, and opportunities for students to apply their understanding through interactive activities that explore the intersections of art and nature.
The default capacity for this experience is 20 students, but please feel free to contact us directly if you have a larger group and we will work with you to create a custom program that fits the needs of your school.
