Traveling Lantern is a year-round company that brings six shows each year to your area. All of our shows are interactive theatre performances that involve the audience directly in the story. We have been performing during the school year for elementary schools and in the summer for library branches in thirteen states for over two decades, and our company has been in business since 1985.

We perform regularly for New York Public Library and New York Public Schools, Brooklyn and Queens Schools and Libraries, and for the National Theatre in Washington, DC. We wrote and performed the children’s show at Yosemite for the National Park Service. We wrote and produced two bilingual educational programs for the Mainly Mozart Festival in San Diego and Tijuana, Mexico.

Our mission is to bring great stories to children, to draw them into an active theater experience, to excite their minds and to tickle their imaginations. We are deeply committed to providing high quality, low cost arts programming to schools and libraries. We have over 30 shows in repertoire and build new ones yearly.
