Viewpoints Gallery and Teresa Ruzzo are proud to present our October exhibition “Coves, Cliffs and Beyond” by Teresa Ruzzo. This exhibition features Teresa’s signature ethereal depictions of the California coast, from Big Sur to Mendocino, and includes spectacular scenes of secluded beaches, sheltered coves, jagged cliffs and hazy vistas. Teresa’s unique style reveals her mastery of the pastel medium and her ability to convey the peace and breathtaking beauty of the scenes that she captures.  “Painting the coast brings me a great sense of excitement as I seek to depict its endless space, rich colors and changing moods, “says Teresa. She is a master of conveying mood in her work, and each eye catching piece will transport the viewer to a unique and spectacular California location. Families are invited to join Santa Clara Valley Audubon and the City of Cupertino to celebrate the fall season, nature, and wildlife. Around two dozen environmental organizations will provide live-animal demonstrations, educational presentations, free hands-on activities, nestbox and bird feeder construction, face painting, and more!

For "Early Birds", SCVAS will hold a guided shorebird walk at Charleston Slough in Mountain View at 8:00 AM. Following the walk, participants are encouraged to caravan to the Wildlife & Harvest Day festivities in Cupertino. RSVP is required for the walk ONLY - go to scvas.org/WildlifeDay.

NOTE: Free parking is available at Monta Vista High School.

Children will meet the musicians, learn about the instruments and enter a raffle for a chance to conduct the orchestra!

After a tour of the orchestra, the symphony will perform Prokofiev: Peter and the Wolf
Also music by Bates, Bernstein, and Haydn The concert lasts about two hours: one hour for the Tour of the Orchestra, and one for the concert.
Our annual Halloween concert over the years has evolved into our most popular concert of the year, with a format uniquely our own, Maestro Eric K said of the event he has hosted for decades. This year it’s titled Devils, Witches and Wolves.

This is certainly the world’s most popular children’s work, Eric K said. Our narrator, the marvelous Debra Lambert, is a singer, actress and head of the Notre Dame de Namur’s Music Department.

extended multi-city tour featuring renewed performances of the company’s classic choreography. Founded in 1952 by dancer and choreographer Amalia Hernández, Ballet Folklórico brings together the music, dance, and costume of Mexican folklore from pre-Colombian civilizations through the modern era. With its permanent home at the Palacio de Bellas Artes—one of Mexico City’s most historic venues—the company has developed choreography for 40 ballets, composed of 76 folk dancers who have performed extensively across Mexico and abroad.

Stories of Justice, directed by Artistic Director, Mythili Kumar, features Abhinaya Dance Company members including Rasika Kumar and 9 others. This original evening-length concert comprises a half a dozen 10-minute dance pieces and explores historical and contemporary stories of resistance, social justice and resilience. Abhinaya will tell these stories by employing the stylistic vocabulary of Bharatanatyam, a dance form that originated in the Hindu temples of India over 2000 years ago.  The dance will be accompanied by a live orchestra consisting of vocalists, violinist, saxophonist, cymbals, mridangam, and tabla percussionists.

Families are invited to join Santa Clara Valley Audubon and the City of Cupertino to celebrate the fall season, nature, and wildlife. Around two dozen environmental organizations will provide live-animal demonstrations, educational presentations, free hands-on activities, nestbox and bird feeder construction, face painting, and more!

For "Early Birds", SCVAS will hold a guided shorebird walk at Charleston Slough in Mountain View at 8:00 AM. Following the walk, participants are encouraged to caravan to the Wildlife & Harvest Day festivities in Cupertino. RSVP is required for the walk ONLY - go to scvas.org/WildlifeDay.

Children will meet the musicians, learn about the instruments and enter a raffle for a chance to conduct the orchestra!

After a tour of the orchestra, the symphony will perform Prokofiev: Peter and the Wolf
Also music by Bates, Bernstein, and Haydn The concert lasts about two hours: one hour for the Tour of the Orchestra, and one for the concert.
Our annual Halloween concert over the years has evolved into our most popular concert of the year, with a format uniquely our own, Maestro Eric K said of the event he has hosted for decades. This year it’s titled Devils, Witches and Wolves.

This is certainly the world’s most popular children’s work, Eric K said. Our narrator, the marvelous Debra Lambert, is a singer, actress and head of the Notre Dame de Namur’s Music Department.

extended multi-city tour featuring renewed performances of the company’s classic choreography. Founded in 1952 by dancer and choreographer Amalia Hernández, Ballet Folklórico brings together the music, dance, and costume of Mexican folklore from pre-Colombian civilizations through the modern era. With its permanent home at the Palacio de Bellas Artes—one of Mexico City’s most historic venues—the company has developed choreography for 40 ballets, composed of 76 folk dancers who have performed extensively across Mexico and abroad.

Stories of Justice, directed by Artistic Director, Mythili Kumar, features Abhinaya Dance Company members including Rasika Kumar and 9 others. This original evening-length concert comprises a half a dozen 10-minute dance pieces and explores historical and contemporary stories of resistance, social justice and resilience. Abhinaya will tell these stories by employing the stylistic vocabulary of Bharatanatyam, a dance form that originated in the Hindu temples of India over 2000 years ago.  The dance will be accompanied by a live orchestra consisting of vocalists, violinist, saxophonist, cymbals, mridangam, and tabla percussionists.
