“Many of my students talked about the performance for days afterwards. Great experience for all that attended.”
Educator, Christian Community School: Rigoletto student matinee performance
My class was thrilled with all of it. Sara Beukers came to our school and did a wig and make-up demo for all the 4th/5th graders. This was a great follow-up after seeing the opera.”
Educator, McCollam School: Rigoletto student matinee performance
“My students enjoyed the opera immensely. It gave me a great opportunity to discuss revenge with my students – and other character issues. Thank you so much for providing this program!”
Educator, Valley Christian Junior High: Rigoletto student matinee
“The story was acted out in such a way that the kids could understand it even though they couldn’t read the supertitles. The quality of the singing was superb. You might not think that severely developmentally-delayed students would enjoy opera but they truly did. They sat perfectly behaved in rapt attention for the entire three hours!”
Educator, Wilcox High School: Rigoletto student matinee
“Thank you for allowing me to see the opera “La boheme” free of charge, it was great. The performers sang excellently and with a lot of heart. I really enjoyed the music and how the opera was performed. Bravi!”
Student, Saint Victor’s School: La Bohème student matinee
“Seeing this opera has been a great pleasure. I found it very exciting and well-performed. Not only did I learn about the works of Puccini’s great opera, but from watching the show, I learned some of a different language!”
Student, Saint Victor’s School: La Bohème student matinee
“I enjoyed the opera very much. It is the third time I have been to the opera house with my class to view an opera and I enjoyed the La Bohème performance best. Right away I remembered the two familiar actors of the main characters, Rodolfo and Mimi. Just months earlier, the two performers of these characters had came to St. Victor’s. They gave us a great opera learning experience…..I thank you once again for the help you have given to me to enjoy the likes of opera and I thank you once more for the wonderful performance. Congratulations on such a wonderful show.”
