Teresa Ruzzo and Viewpoints Gallery present New Works by Teresa Ruzzo featuring the artist’s latest pastel works in her signature breathtaking style. This exhibition, which includes both plein-aire and studio pastels, explores the dynamic relationship between light and atmosphere. Teresa’s new collection features serene views of the California coast, as well as seascapes and cloudscapes that draw viewers in and evoke feelings of peace and tranquility. Says Teresa, “I like the long view, the open space, the endless sky… something that makes me feel as if I have all the time and space in the world.” She has certainly achieved this goal in her latest exhibition. CSMA’s Family Arts Day will feature interactive music and art activities for the whole family: an instrument “petting zoo”, preschool art projects, preschool music activities, hands-on visual arts activities, digital art demonstrations and more. Get summer started with Camp NU. Explore, discover, and create at NUMU’s maker and art-focused camps designed to build creative and critical thinking skills, and enhance children’s imaginations. Each day-camp will have a unique theme and will run in 3-day and 1-day segments from June 12 to August 4th. Classes are best for ages 6-10. Parents are encouraged to register online. Let children's imagination soar to the stars with the NUMU STEAM Camp. Campers will learn about a variety of scientific topics with art. They'll build a solar oven to learn about renewable energy, study engineering concepts with golf balls and cardboard tube "roller coasters", and explore polymers by creating bouncy balls. Campers can discover space exploration with soaps and beads and experiment with chemical reactions with paint. Snacks will be provided for all participants, please include any food restrictions in the registration form. Parents must bring registration and PayPal receipt when they sign their child in on the first day. Parents are responsible for signing their children in with a Camp NU staff member, and completing the emergency contact form. [less-]

Kids will be using black light paint, wax crayons, and black velvet to recreate the famous posters from the 60s. August 26-27: Paper Pups Kids can celebrate National Dog Day at NUMU, and create a dog of their own from a paper roll. They can choose their favorite breed, from mastiff to chihuahua. This exciting event allows the community to raise funds in exchange for the chance to rappel from the top of the Adobe Headquarters building in downtown San Jose. Let children's imagination soar to the stars with the NUMU STEAM Camp. Campers will learn about a variety of scientific topics with art. They'll build a solar oven to learn about renewable energy, study engineering concepts with golf balls and cardboard tube "roller coasters", and explore polymers by creating bouncy balls. Campers can discover space exploration with soaps and beads and experiment with chemical reactions with paint. Snacks will be provided for all participants, please include any food restrictions in the registration form. Parents must bring registration and PayPal receipt when they sign their child in on the first day. Explore, discover, and create at NUMU’s maker and art-focused camps designed to build creative and critical thinking skills, and enhance children’s imaginations. August 19-20: Black Light Velvet posters Kids can celebrate the Summer of Love at NUMU. Kids will be using black light paint, wax crayons, and black velvet to recreate the famous posters from the 60s. August 26-27: Paper Pups Kids can celebrate National Dog Day at NUMU, and create a dog of their own from a paper roll. They can choose their favorite breed, from mastiff to chihuahua.
